Little House

Very cute tiny apartment in a large ancient complex - I think it may have been a former convent. The apartment is tiny and on a mezzanine floor and one of the best in terms of space optimisation I have come across. From a grand entrance, we entered right into the simple tasteful bedroom. Then, you walk through into a fully fledged kitchen which is actually the biggest room in the flat, and from there into a small bathroom. Everything was so well thought out and tasteful. Perfect for a holiday - I wouldn't have a problem spending longer in the flat, as there was a table to sit at in the kitchen. Bed was very comfy and made up in fresh white linen. Everything worked well - there is even a washing machine- but we didn't cook or anything, as we only spent one night. The area, although it looks far away from the centre of Bologna, is actually really good - nice residential neighbourhood, bus stop right outside the building with frequent bus service into town and further on to the train station. Lovely restaurants and cafes and ice cream places nearby, supermarket 100m, it is perfect if you are not into the cliched Italian vista. We had to get to the airport at a really early time when there was no public transport and pre-booked a taxi from a local taxi company, which was very reasonably priced and much more convenient and value for money than the ridiculous da VInci Monorail.

Nothing to complain about except Check-In was a bit tricky as we were unhappy to send sensitive documents on WhatsApp. We worked on a mutually convenient solution and everything worked out well.It might be worth thinking about sending your passport in a safe method, as a passport copy is required by all hosts in Italy to register you.

Second time here. Nice, cozy, parking, near old town! We' ll come again!
