Superb location and friendly and helpful hostess. An oasis away from traffic and crowds. Stunning grounds with glorious swimming pool and plants.

Nothing except bathroom door did not shut fully.

If you want to visit eastern, south-eastern italy this is definitely a place to stay. Very close to road connections, amazing farm with several trees to pick their fruits, super clean and big pool, comfortable beds, well equipped apartments. It is super obvious that Maty loves what she is doing, treats you with utmost hospitality and always smiling face. You know she is there for anything you need and for sure she will do the best to help you. And finally the dog! What a wonderful one. My daughter’s best friend during the week. A lot of memories we take with us back but definitely come back in future!

Pool that was big enough to swim laps in, lots of areas around the pool to relax and have a drink. Location was great, away from busy city but still close enough to access lots of places within an hours drive. Derek the dog is a very polite house guest and great tour guide around the farm.

Maty was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The fresh produce on the farm was available to use and was delicious. The pool was quiet and visible from your room. There was lots of shade around the pool too. We felt safe on the property. Maty helped to make our stay with the children easy. She gave us a trike, baby swing and toys to entertain the kids. Kitchen had good facilities. Was a short drive away from supermarkets and Catania - about 15 mins.

There were a lot of mosquitos - perhaps due to the well near the apartments. The beds were very hard in our apartment (not the case in our other family rooms). The bathroom door didn't shut and neither did the shower doors.

Nice setting grounds well maintained

Due to open well large number of mosquitos, all visitors were bitten. Personally I had over 50 bites even after applying repellant. We live in the country but this was extreme. There is a free roaming dog who is friendly. However he remains on site at night and barks periodically at night. On several nights outside our room window. He will also scratch at the entrance door as could clearly be seen in the scratched paint. The shower does not maintain hot water. Showers had to be quick as water would go cold after 4-5 mins, every day. Fridge door for milk held on with screws, if used shelf would fall off. We are not from Sicily and were shocked by level of rubbish on road up to property.

We loved our stay at Matilde's farm. The outside area is wonderful and we were allowed to pick some fruits (oranges, lemons, pomegranates) and herbs from the farm / area for our own use. Also, Matilde is a very welcoming and friendly host, recommending various places to go to in the area. We can definately recommend spending time there!

The accommodation is really romantic. The pool is incredibly large among the orange trees. The owner is also very nice and the instructions from her are great. There is a big shopping center very close where you can buy food. We had very warm weather and the attic apartment could not be properly ventilated, so we slept in the living room, where there was air conditioning.

A breakfast would be interesting, but it is without breakfast.
