The location was great in the centre literally everything what you need is there no need off car or bus or taxi

The flat is in a great location in the heart of Koln's shopping area. There's a parking garage right across the street (but it is closed on Sundays). There are lots of great restaurants and shops within a 15 min walk. Also nearby is the beautiful cathedral. Curtains have been added in the main room, so the room was dark enough for my kids to sleep.

Upon arrival, we were asked to pick up the keys from a casino about 400m from the flat. It felt sketchy. The flat had "free toiletries" listed in the information section. However, upon sending the host a message, we were told that toiletries meant toilet paper. We needed to go out and buy soap, shampoo, and conditioner. We were also asked to wash dishes using the dishwasher, but there was no detergent in the flat for this. Several lights didn't work in the flat either. The place could use some maintenance.

The host is amiable. Cute apartment at a central location. Perfect for 2 people. There is a nice place for breakfast downstairs.

The flat is right in the center of Cologne, easy to access by car, with a parking right in front of the flat. An elevator leads you to the 3rd floor. We didn't cook, we took breakfast in a shop next to the flat, and all meals outside.

It was pretty hot outside (it's summer in Germany too ....) and due to the fact there are no window shutters on the living room, the appart was hot too (curtains are not enough). We had to open the windows of the bedroom at night to cool the flat down, but there are huge and noisy fans, so the nights were not that quiet.

Actually, we were there for both work and leisure. We traveled with our 11 months old baby and the main reason for chosing the appartment was the location. And although during weekends, it tends to get loud, on the other days, the noise was manageable. It is literally on the main shopping street, walking distance to the Dome and the river. The appartment itself is very good value for money, compared to other options available in the area. There is a parking space across the pedestrian area and we could see the car from the living room. During the afternoon, the living room gets a little hot (courtains would be great), but we used the bedroom and pretty much stayed in the living room in the morning mostly. We had everything we needed, from towels, to a good size closet, sofa, well equipped kitchen (although we only used the fridge). The fact that it has two separate rooms was also a big plus for us. Downstairs, there is an excellent asian restaurant and 2 min walk, there are grocery stores.
