Our host met us on site and showed how everything worked. The location suited us. Our host was also extremely prompt when some maintenance was required.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor and has quite a steep stairway leading up to it. However there is a lift to the 1st floor.

Shocking stairs well

A difficult property to "rate" as it has a number of positive points but some negative ones depending upon the customers own circumstances. It had a clean, modern, spacious living area, a large TV and a large dry garage where I could park my bicycle (I was there for the Flanders Classics).

Being "up in the roof" it was a long climb to the front door (the lift to the first floor helped) and it had a difficult staircase to the bedroom area which younger people might find straightforward - but we are in our seventies. Not suitable for very young children but a nice space for a couple to relax in. A lack of curtains on most windows made the room very light at night (until the street lights went out) and in the early morning. The property is very central to Comines so the parking was not always straightforward but we made it work. Overall we feel the negatives were accomodated in the price we paid.

The apartment is nice and clean.

The bed sofa was very uncomfortable to sleep.
