An Bothán-Cosy Cottage in the Cooley Mountains

The cottage was lovely. It was really peaceful and the views were amazing. As for the homemade bread and jam they were just delicious. The bed was really comfortable and the accommodation was really clean. We will definitely return in the future. Highly recommended

Nice quaint cottage, lovely area surrounded by mountains. Home made loaf left with a local jam. Use of the whole cottage and gardens. Well maintained. Book provided of local activities, food places, bike hire and many taxi firms. Was.able.to.isw.the washing machine, amenities states there is an airer but it's a clothes line outside.

Would have helped if the name of the cottage was outside the gates as pulled up then drove off as Google maps was not keen on the address. Beds were not made up, the booking was for three adults, refers to a futon bed as well as sofa bed, yet only mattress were seen under the double bed and on a high wardrobe. Not sure where an extra bed would have been put up. No instructions for the sofa bed, very uncomfortable even to sit on. The ensuite the drainage is slow for the basin and ahower-still a large puddle on the floor in the morning As the sofa bed was used there needs to be curtains on the doors, kitchen window and skylight (cannot reach the cord to close the blind) as daylight is 4am so unsettled night trying to sleep.as too light. Not sure why two wet rooms one could be a small bedroom.

Beautiful little cottage in the mountains. A real home from home , hosts where very friendly and welcoming.

Home away from home. A special find in a lovely quiet location in a beautiful scenic area.. Everything we needed was provided and the homemade brown bread and jam was delicious. Caitriona couldn't be .more welcoming and helpful. I couldn't recommend.this place enough. We are looking forward to a return visit

The "cozy cottage" is secretively located within a private thicket of trees, surrounded by country fields that gently overlook the shimmering sea. Approached via a curving driveway that opens to the manicured cottage grounds with idyllic views, it's delightfully presented. Around back there's a short trail through the wooded grounds with wee folk things and happy birds and fat bees. Inside the cottage is everything one needs to feel and believe they actually live in a forested refuge, and to do so in comfort and style as all facilities are updated including 2 cool showers big enough to twirl in, kitchen essentials, comfortable bed, the toasty fireplace and outdoor patio. Hosts Catriona and Brian are kind and attentive in addition to great conversationalists. With luck (much to be found here), we'll be back soon and often.

That I don't have another 100 years or so to dream about and plan visits to here.
