An Bothán-Cosy Cottage in the Cooley Mountains

The hosts provided us with some lovely homemade bread and jam, which was a very welcome treat! Plenty of great recommendations in the handy guidebook, which directed us to a local fish shop where we could buy more delicious food.

The whole stay exceeded our expectations. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

An absolute gem. From the warm welcome at the gate to the friendly chat before we left, everything was absolutely perfect with our stay at An Bothan. The homemade bread and jam was a lovely touch and went down a delight with a cup of tea beside the fire as the rain fell outside. Hidden away from the hustle and bustle it is a perfect retreat for a break. All in all a 10/10 experience.

The host was so friendly and hospitable. She showed us around the apartment upon arrival (even though we arrived later than expected!) and went above and beyond. She had made fresh bread and jam, which were both lovely, and was very nice to our kids too. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit this part of the country!

What a fantastic little cottage, we arrived & were greeted by Brian, who showed us around. His wife had baked us fresh bread & it was accompanied by homemade jam 😋 A perfect base for exploring different part's of Ireland, we'll most definitely be booking in for a longer stay in future!

The location was stunning

La casa es muy bonita y acogedora. Está muy limpia y ordenada. La propietaria es maravillosa. Es muy atenta y facilita todo. Además habla español. Repetiremos!!! Un beso enorme desde Madrid.
