Downtown 1 Bedroom Apartment 18H

I loved that it was in an older building. The greeters were so polite and always welcoming!!! I liked how easy it was to get the room, and to get into the building. The Lobby is also beautiful! The room looks really nice, but there were some issues for us. It was comfy and cozy, and when we walked in there was Mozart playing in the room. The room was cold, and we felt safe for the most part.

It smelled like weed, throughout the whole building, and it was leaking into my room. There is clear water damage to the roof in the room we were in, there was a hole in the ceiling. I have asthma and allergic to mold and weed, so I spent a lot of time having to take allergy medicine the entire time. We stayed in room 18H. There are also a lot of glad plugins, which concerned me after seeing the hole and water damage in the ceiling. The bathtub caulk looks like there is mold growing beneath it, and there was a little bit of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. There is no air vent in the bathroom, so steam just builds up. The air systems are old and rusty, but they do work. At least in the room we had. One of the biggest things for my husband and I, is that we had to spend $100 extra paying every single night to park. And the maximum amount of time you can pay is 24 hours. And you have to be in the lot to renew it, we found that out the hard way. Had to book it from the Mercedes Benz to prevent us from getting a ticket.

The location

It was very run down and wasn’t clean when we checked in at 5pm so had to wait for another hour.

Location was central. Foyer and concierges good. Plenty of hot water and comfortable bed.

Too basic. Very dark - dimmest lightbulbs possible and some lights didn't work. Wind howled in through windows. Ancient appliances and broken old hairdryer. Dirty kitchen scourer, only one toilet roll, 2 trash bags - stingy. Bleach stained towels. Dodgy sockets and closet door fell off. Would only take a little bit of pride and TLC to improve. Was given wrong door code when booking so had to ring the owner. Just as well it wasn't late at night and that they answered.

Very spacious, clean apartment. Comfortable to stay in, as well as fantastic location for exploring Atlanta. (Note that there is no HVAC system in the building as far as I can tell)

Management could've been better, the concierge was away for 1.5 hours, and when I checked in they say my name and details weren't registered into their computer system by the owner yet. But this was fixed very promptly so no complaints aside from the missing concierge.
