Modern and Bright Three Bed Apartment

The location is perfect with lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby

Finding a parking spot near the entrance to the apartment wasn't easy. Also, the front door to the bulding was hard to close.

The location and it's close proximity to the village was good.

I can't understand why this property has mainly good reviews. It was dirty and far from an acceptable standard for a letting, which made for an uncomfortable stay, particularly as they are charging £80 cleaning fee. There was dirt and thick dust in every room and its obvious that the landlord has allowed it deteriorate since the photos were taken. The walls were badly scuffed in the bedrooms and the utility room was filthy with discarded items. The main bedroom smelt of old sewage water and you can hear the people above using the toilet. Generally you could hear a lot of noise and bagging from above. The TV did not work. We tried to watch a movie on netflix and the TV repeatedly turned itself off. We had no choice but to finish watching the movie on a phone. The kitchenware was very sparce with a broken bottle opener and cracked wine glass. We couldn't get the thermostat to work as the display kept glitching when we touched it. The dust was thick and there were marks on the bedsheets and hair in the bed. One of the lamps in the lounge was missing a bulb and a lamp in the mezzanine has what seemed like an USA plug, making it unusable. The WiFi was patchy and only sometimes worked. The check in and check out times were very late (3pm) and early (10am) and the host would only accommodate a midday check out if you paid £30 more, even though the property was not booked the following day. Honestly, this experience has really put me off staying in a letting like this again. What a downer it put on the weekend.

Lounge and kitchen area

Beware. Two of the three bedrooms do not have beds. They have mattresses on a solid platform which you need to climb up to. One of the bedrooms you cannot fully stand up by the mattress due to restricted roof height.

Decorated really nicely, well suited for our needs in terms of travelling with friends for a weekend, quiet area and easy to find too.

Very little we didn’t like but found some dirty cutlery in the drawers and water pressure in either bathrooms wasn’t brilliant. Also couldn’t for the life of us work out how to properly shut the external door to the property which didn’t feel super safe - the apartment itself was secure though

Location was excellent. Facilities were very good.

Lack of parking in the vicinity could be an issue.
