Katane House

apartment is interestingly and ingeniously decorated and clean. hosts were fabulous, they met us upon arrival and let us stay a few hours more on check out. also, they provided us with a PDF on what to see in town (although not with accurate time-distance).

app is basement so it has that basement smell. also as it is a shared backyard, the window couldn't be opened in the kitchen and there was no window in the bedroom at all. also door of the toilette couldn't be closed which made little uncomfortable to shower with other people inside. also part of the city seemed a little out of frequent areas so it didn't seem safe to walk in the night with all the people on the near piazza/gas station.

The host met us at the location and explain everything regarding the place. Next door there is a cafe with delicious italian pastry and coffee. Big supermarket is nearby. In the apartment there were a lot of toys and carpet for games, so kids can be entertained all the time at home. We really liked the design of the apartment.

Not so much sun comes into the apartment but it is common in Sicily.

The flat is quite spacious, with 2 double beds and a small additional one (not that confy). Full equipped kitchen, large bathroom and plenty of space. Very original style in between the train station and the city center. Good value for money

The flat is underground, so the only light come from the front door, therefore you constantly keep the lights on. The area outside is quite doggy at night and pretty dirty

The flat is cozy and has everything necessary. At this place you can feel like you're at home, as it has has so many small details. The owner is very helpful and gives good recommendations about Catania and surroundings.

The flat is in the basement, it hasn't natural light inside, but the are enough of lightening inside. And secondly as it's basement there is no signal for call or mobile internet. I need to go out upstairs to make a call. But there is a wifi an the flat, so it's not a big issue

everything perfect, a beautiful and cozy house in a beautiful city. we liked everything of our stay here.
