The location

The flat was cleanish - the floor and the walls were a bit dirty and you could find spider nets here and there, some kitchen items were dirty as well and behind the bed there was a stain on the wall, mold or a smashed mosquito? Who knows... The accommodation was very basic . I was not expecting designers' furniture or something premium for the price and I don't mind the old floorings, but I was not prepared for a flat looking like a dorm or a hostel . Beds were small and short, although mattresses where not bad . No tv, not a problem for me but other people mind. Also, and a huge disadvantage, a constuction site just across the flat which is really loud on daytime and since I learnt that works have been going on continuously since August, manager should let people know before booking the flat, but I guess they preferred the money instead of a good stay for the potential customers. The noise was very frustrating as it was really loud even with the windows closed, from 7 in the morning. I expressed my disappointment to the manager and after several messages, we were eventually moved in another flat for our last day. I was refunded solely for the last night but did not get any discount for the two bad nights I had and ended up paying more money in total than my initial booking, plus the disappointment and the loss of sleep . Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It felt more like a tourist trap than a traditional flat.

The location. The location is nice but even a garbage bin located next to a beach would have a nice location.

Mouldy beds, no joke, took off the bed sheet and there is about 1m2 of mould covering the mattresses. No hot water, stone cold showers every day. Brown water out the taps. We reported this all to the host and she just said it's all ok and ignored our messages. She refused to refund and didn't even bother to come to the apartment to look or try to fix anything. So I reported to booking.com. The hosted responded to booking.com support saying that the apartment is 'old' style. She just used the fact that it is old to justify lack of cleaning and poor maintenance. I've attached photos to this review to show the truth of this place. Also the shower head is broken. Some of the lights switches don't work. Some of the furniture shown in the photos has been removed and is not available. The TV is not there. The apartment is too hot so you need to open the windows. But the outside is a construction site and too loud to leave the windows open. At night the street is a popular thoroughfare and many loud people walk past heading to and from the bars. The windows are too thin to properly block the sound. This could be a beautiful place but instead it is run down and not maintained and filthy. The most basic parts of the accommodation, being a bed to sleep on and a shower to wash in, are terrible. Find somewhere else.

Super location. Plenty of clean bed linen and towels. Authentic old architecture.

No air-conditioning. Water in shower luke warm. Building site across street - very noisy from 7am. Lots of steps up to 4th floor.
