Rooftop Marina ll by Madeira Best Apartments

The view is great. Everything was well organized including parking.

We loved the location, the decor of the apartment, the view, the treats left for us, and, of course, the hot tub on the deck. Just a wonderful experience all round. Perfect apartment for two couples. But most of all, we appreciated our host Ligia, who made herself available in the middle of the night (because of our significantly delayed flight) to let us into the car park and show us around the apartment. She was also helpful in receiving a piece of late luggage. Finally, she provided assistance when we had difficulty with our key cards. Absolutely fantastic service! Thank you Ligia.

While we appreciated the security measures, it was a bit difficult to get in and out of the apartment complex with the locked gates on the weekend.

Perfect location, overlooking the marina and town from the extensive balcony, bakery opposite front exit, and to the right the road was full of outside and inside restaurant tables serving great food, all the way to the Old Town. To the left of the exit was a beautiful park, with a great cafe.

Nothing about the apartment or location. The only thing we didn’t like was on the Friday, an enormous cruise liner appeared for the day with about 3,000 people disembarking, filling up all the restaurants. The cable car queue was huge. No cruise ships visited at the weekend which allows the locals and others to enjoy Funchal.

Incredible apartment with views over the city. Super comfortable with everything we needed, great communication from the staff. Couldn’t have asked for more!

The only downside was that there was a lot of ants in the apartment. Although the apartment was super clean, there seemed to always be ants finding their way in.

Its the first time we have stayed in the centre of Funchal and its a great location for accessing restaurants and shops. The apartment was well kitted out and had everything we needed. Couldn't recommend enough!

The spa was a little murky and so had to look through the manuals provided onsite to clear it. I didn't find it a major problem, hence no impact on the overall stay and experience. Lets face it, having a spa in the first place is great!!!
