Balans Old Town

Alot of space, clean, close to the old city.

Everything Was good except the construction going on outside.

The location was ideal, minutes from the Christmas Market and lots of restaurants on the doorstep. The main shopping area of the old town was only 5 minutes away. It was very well heated, with underfloor heating in the bathroom, so we were always toasty warm. The beds were comfortable and very clean. The rooms weren't huge, but they were adequate. The owner was very responsive when we needed to contact him. Filip was very helpful.

There were roadworks going on, so the road was dug up, with fencing around the pavements. There were no streetlights, maybe because of the roadworks, so it was dark. We were on ground floor and could hear the noise of passers by at night. The sofa was not big enough for 4 people to sit on. Another comfortable seat would have helped. 2 of our 4 group had to sit on the hard chairs at the table. The wardrobe in one bedroom was locked. Half of the wardrobe in the other bedroom was taken up with hoover, ironing board etc. So not much space for 4 people to put clothes.

Enter to the building was easy for people who arrived after midnight, instruction sent by host was clear and understandable. Perfect location

Location was very good in a quite road but very close to the main attractions Clean apartment WiFi was very good Ground floor with just a few steps...which is good for me

TV didn't work . I did report the fault but it wasn't repaired. Disappointed because I was on my own for two nights and didn't want to venture out on my own at night No oven or microwave, so it was hard to heat up food or cook with just a hob. It would have been handy to be able to heat up a pie or cook a snack in an oven I asked if the owner if they knew where we could leave our cases as we had to be out of the apartment at 10am and our flight was late evening.....they didnt reply . After a lot of Googleing and speaking to tourist information office, they suggested the lock ups at the railway station....we got a taxi . Lock ups cheap 16 plz. . A bit fiddley getting into the apartment initially at 2am with keys and codes for two doors. The taxi driver was very helpful . Getting in and out was ok after the initial key code pass code complexities

Ecxellent location! I liked also dark curtains for sleeping.

Although there was no information about parking and traffic restrictions about access.
