Spacious apartment for 5 persons.

The street is a bit noisy. One of the shower cabins's door opens inward so only narrow persons can use it. If the wash kitchen/balcony stinks, pour few liters of water into the sinkholes.

The location is excellent (loud as it's on a busy street), the linens clean, the kitchen quite usable, and any TV channel you could want. The 2 balconies were great, and we spent more time on the back, quiet, shady one as it was more peaceful. The video instructions they sent covered any potential questions we could have, and it was wonderful to see how to get in and where to park before we arrived. Took away any guesswork that sometimes comes with an apartment rental. It was wonderful having a washing machine and a drying rack, as we stayed almost 2 weeks.

Well, the saying you get what you pay for is very true in this case. We received an off-season discount, so I should actually rate this apartment FOUR stars, except the sewer smell in the afternoons prevents that. Every day, we would come back in the early afternoon to the smell of sewer in the apartment. One weird thing is that the second shower is almost unuseable. It is a 24" square shower with the door opening inward. Unless you are a tiny adult or a small child, getting in and out is impossible without pressing your back against the corner walls. Yuck. But there is another larger shower to use, so it was fine. We would still happily rent this apartment in the future!

This structure is amazing, large, comfortable, clean I'll surely sponsor it.

Keys for frontdoor did not work properly somehow, entered through garage.

Very good location even if a bit noisy due first floor apartment on one of the main roads. Good furniture and spacious apartment. Broken balcony door lock was fixed on the first possible day. Perfectly working wifi and the tv with satellite channels.

When I arrived there was nothing in the kitchen else than dishes and the cutlery. No pin bags, cleaning cloth or any detergent, neither salt, pepper, sugar or any this kind of basics which every guest then anyway buy. Cleaning detergents I got after asking, as staying 10 days without cleaning the apartment is far too long. It would make the guests much more happy if they found these basic products in the apartment in arrival. Also buying laundry or dishwashing detergents for a few days use feels very annoying. In the bathrooms there was 2 very small rolls of toilet paper of low quality, so naturally had to buy the toilet paper as well. I have been renting many apartments in many countries, but this was the first time I found an apartment so empty of necessities. Interesting was then to see what happened when the cleaners came, as due the cancelled flights we returned for one more night to this same apartment. They took away all the products I bought, so the next guests need to do the same shopping again. Where all these products are going to? It needs very little to get this apartment to be on a top rating.

Apartment is a good size and good location - walking distance pretty much everywhere in the center of Funchal.

Apartment needs some polishing and refurbishment. Some parts are a bit outdated - opening of wardrobe and drawers, missing a hooks for hanging towels, leaking one of the showers, etc. The apartment overlooks the main busy street.

Great apparent, at a great location with a host that was easy to get in contact with. The location made it easy to use public transportation around town and to the airport (tips us to locate the Savoy busstop, and take nr.9 - the one with "Airport" in the front window. Costs 5€)

Very few complaints, but from time to time the traffic out side was so noisy that it wasn't great to sit outside for breakfast. The place would have been magical without the traffic noise - but hey- can't get everything
