Bijou Merchant City Apartment with Parking (Albion 1)

Couldn’t gain access as owner/managing agent didn’t have the correct key for the courtyard (without this, you’re unable to access the apartment). Process of collecting the key is from a 24 hour shop approximately 1/2 mile away. Informed owner/managing agent and was told to collect a different key from the same shop. This didn’t work, contacted owner/managing agent again who insisted I must be doing something wrong but she would have someone there within five minutes with another set of keys. Forty minutes later, no one had arrived and I cancelled my booking - by now it’s approximately two since arriving at the property. The owner/managing agent agreed to refund my damage deposit (£300) minus a fee. This was done straightaway. The £1000 cost for the stay wasn’t deposited back in my account and when I enquired why, was told because I had cancelled and there was a no refund policy. Alarm bells rang when when I was asked for the damage deposit via friends and family so that they wouldn’t incur a fee. This would’ve wavered my rights to a refund. Thankfully I chose the ‘paying a deposit’ option which did protect my rights to a refund and why I believe, I received a refund straightaway.

The location and the size of the flat

Lack of hot water to sink and basin so crockery, cutlery and pots were not clean from last people. No plug for sink made it difficult to clean everything until we used the largest pot and boiled water. One fork between two people was also interesting. For overseas visitors not used to UK water systems more instructions would be good. Otherwise this unit was a great place to base oneself from to visit Glasgow.

The owner instructions are CREEPY, the place and furniture is very old and not clean, BECAREFUL! pictures are way different than the reality, and when I complained about it she offered me another property with extra £50 per night !!!

Main bed was to small, bath room towel dryer didnt work , had to reset ELCB breaker to get internet tv working 3-4 time

Very comfortable apartment with great living room, kitchen, and bedroom. We truly enjoyed our stay. The parking space was also very important for us.
