The appartment is nice, big and ideally situated. Bonus points for the view on the fortress, it is amazing. The owners are friendly. Ideal for families with kids or groups of friends.

The wifi doesn't work, nor does the TV (two different issues, although the owner thinks they are related). They use a fancy water warming system which fails to keep the temperature stable, so you end up spending a lot of time fiddling with the tap and you still get either boiling hot or luke warm water which changes every 2 minutes. Also, the appartment is clean, but they forgot to dust. A pity for those details, because the appartment could really be amazing with a bit more maintenance.

Owner gives too many instructions on handover, these should all be added to the welcome sheet they have, which needs to be updated. Entry at stairwell always stinks of smoke. Impossible to get water temperature just right in shower. No hot water in kitchen sink tap. Couldn't use the freezer as it was all frozen up and the drawers wouldn't open. Toilet is a micro system so it is difficult to use.The lounge sofa is hard. Our main problem was the lack of wifi. The owner said it was regularly a problem and complained about Vodafone's service, so I suggested to him that this needs to be pointed out on the listing for people like us from overseas who depend on the wifi. We finally got it on the last day but if we had known it was temperamental we would have chosen somewhere else.The other issue was the advertising of a fireplace, which was another reason we chose this listing. But we were told the fireplace shouldn't be used. I reported both these issues to booking.com. All reference to and pictures of the fireplace were then removed from the listing. Instead of admitting he should not include a facility that is not available, the owner told us we shouldn't need a fireplace on a hot day and that we could turn up the heaters. We had come from a very hot climate so the temperature was cool for us, also the nights were cold. We also wanted the ambience of a fireplace. He had the wrong attitude. The title says luxurious but this apartment is far from it.

Wonderful location close to the cable car and old town. Very spacious apartment that was well appointed.

Location (less than 5 minutes walk to gondola and KD Ferry dock), elevator (apartment is on 3rd floor), cleanliness, size of bedrooms, well equiped kitchen, and good communication with owners.

Tub/shower worked well for us, but it would be a problem for those who need a walk-in shower stall. The sofas in the living room were very firm and uncomfortable.
