VERANDA HUAHIN - Residence Pool Access

We thought this property was great! The room was very, very comfortable and we loved the concept for the complex (a series of waterways to the pools between each building). We were a little leery at first, as some reviews weren't very good. We think this suite is likely better suited for longer term stays (we were only there for a couple of nights), as this is not a hotel, but a condo. There are dishes, pots, etc. in the kitchen cabinets, a beautifully appointed bathroom, and comfy furnishings. The location in Takiab village on the seaside is good too, and also very close to the Greeen Songthaew station, for transport back and forth along the main drag into Hua Hin. Be aware that there are no atms nearby this location, so get your cash before showing up. The check-in process takes a little time, as the building staff must contact housekeeping/host who then meet you to escort you to the suite. The host very kindly set up an early check-out for us, so that we were able to have our key depost returned (Note: check out between 9-12, so if you have an earlisg flight/bus/train, be sure to set this up the day before).

We had trouble with the online form that the host provides. However, after messaging with Ms. Friday, we were able to arrange a cash key deposit.

Very nice, clean and modern room/apartment. Security very good.

The safety box did not work. They promised to fix it but did not. The kitchen is poorly eguipped. The pool adjacent to the room is a kids pool. Only 40 cm deep. Only one chair and no table on the patio. We fond that very strange .

We liked the location and the spacious room. Overall a lovely five days.

The amenities in the kitchenette were very limited. We had to ask for a tea towel to dry the dishes and a cloth to wash the dishes. Only one small knife for preparing meals, no bowls or plates to prepare food. We weren’t given an extra trash bag. There was only one chair on the balcony and they would not provide another. Also, the clear signage (on three separate gates) indicated we could use one of the Verso hotel pools and we were not briefed on checking in to the contrary. On our penultimate day, the lady in charge came barging into the pool area yelling at us to get up and out! Move from this pool! We weren’t allowed!!! It was very embarrassing to be treated like that. When we showed her the sign she just said NO NO NO! Very un-Thai like. Also very inconvenient to only have one key. We had to move as a unit to be able to access the locked doors.
