Check-in was a nightmare. You have to go to a different location, picked up the keys from someone (not the host) who didn’t speak English and was unable to tell us how to find the property or any instructions about location or access. Once we found the location it didn’t not include an apartment number. We were outside for over an hour trying to figure everything out. Made multiple attempts to contact the host, messages and calls, that were unanswered. Contacted booking.com customer service and they were useless; unable to provide an apartment number and unable to contact the host. Booking.com said they would continue contact attempts and call me within 30 minutes and we never heard back from them. I finally just started trying doors in the building hoping to find the apartment, since it was freezing outside, and found it. In the meantime, booking.com had cancelled our reservation and offered to substitute it with another booking further out of the city and half the size with less amenities. The host finally responded after midnight that night, my guess is after realizing the booking was cancelled, and spent the rest of our trip constantly sending messages and threatening to show up at the apartment if we didn’t fix it so he would be paid for everything. The second bathroom only had a bathtub and the plug didn’t work (so it’s really 1.5 bathrooms) there were only two towels, the kitchen stock is sparse, no instructions for using anything, and the couch was just covered with all types of stains.

The location. A short walk into the centre for shops, restaurants and the bus station. Good size rooms and bedrooms. Friendly and responsive owner who sorted an issue with the locks.

The property was generally clean, especially the bedrooms. The kitchen and living room felt a bit grimy. The settee is stained and seen better days. There is no instruction re how to use the oven or the heating. Also the information leaflets were very out of date. There is no shower in the main bathroom and the toilet flush was broken, although it still worked.

Well equipped and comfortable. Nice to have two bathrooms. Good location to walk into downtown Glascow.

Needed some maintenance: front door lock hard to open/lock (on actual flat). We were driving into Glascow: hard to judge arrival time, so the host was waiting for us a long time and then left. We had to use a phone at a local pub to reach them; they were very nice and came quickly to give us the keys, but we felt bad about the inconvenience for them.
