Whale Rock, Modern Beachfront Apartment

Good location.

I travel every month for work. Genius level 3. This is my first bad review. Firstly, as soon as I made the booking a lady contacted me for a breakage deposit. Then messages..so many messages, asked for my ID, rules etc etc , I should have realized then this wasnt going to end well. We got there at 19:30, couldn't get in, she refused to awnser my call. The next morning she sent a message to see what I wanted. Not even decent enough to call me back.We could have been stranded with no acess to get in.Too many rules. Owner/manager really rude and arrogant. We are on holiday, not in prison. Its the first place I've been to (and I travel alot) that you have to wash and clean everything otherwise your breakage deposit is retained. I am a business owner and dont like damaging other people's business reputations but this lady has not got a clue on how to treat people. If you are in the hospitality industry, you cannot be as rude and arrogant as she is. My entire deposit plus some was retained for leaving unwashed dishes in the sink and a dirty floor mat in the bathroom. If you look at other reviews this is a common thing. She keeps your deposit to cover cleaning costs.Its a shame our holiday which we looked forward to for some time was ruined by a bad choice in booking.
