We arrived on a very hot day and air conditioning would have been nice, but fans were provided to help cool us down. Overall a lovely lace though.

Incredible views right across the sea to the Coromandel Peninsula. The room is a very good size, with an extremely comfortable bed. This is a rural retreat, a long way from amenities and restaurants, and a farm stay, with chickens running around in the garden outside. So if you are looking for a very relaxing retreat, to unwind and soak up the views, and are happy to cook for yourself a bit (double halogen hob, microwave, full size fridge freezer) with friendly hosts then I can warmly recommend this lovely place. If you want shopping and restaurants on your doorstep, or are phobic of birds, then this wouldn't be the place for you. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the hot tub! And the amazing expanse of the stars at night! I loved it!

The space and design of the apartment are so restful. The view is wonderful and the hosts so welcoming. We had the best sleep ever and a great hot shower. The apartment is less than 10 minutes drive to the Shorebirds Centre and there is a fantastic fish restaurant on the road beyond the centre, Kaiaua Fisheries.

I cannot think of a thing that could have made our stay more perfect.
