Wheal Rose -Beautifully Fitted Lodge Helston Cornwall

The lodge was fitted with everything we needed. Loved the kitchen/living area and the beds were comfortable. The outside space was amazing!

TV remote didn’t always work, bath vent quite dusty. In the wind the dust came into the bathroom. No brush to sweep the floors throughout the week but did have dustpan and brush for spot cleaning.

Spacious and convenient. Comfortable accommodation with well equipped kitchen. Easy to let yourself in with the key safe. Greta location-easy to find and easy to get into Helston and surrounding areas. Pub next door looked nice. Great sunsets and lovely watching the bunnies running around!

It was cold when I arrived in the evening. It would have been nice if the heating had been on. Once it was in the lodge stayed warm and cosy.

I loved the view from the cabin and the location. It felt like home but with a beautiful view.

The bathroom door could’ve had a lock inside and the shower tap was broken. Could’ve fixed it prior. Otherwise it’s a beautiful place

Great stay, perfect for a small family, with private garden area, park opposite, bunk beds and enough space to play. Both us as adults and the kids had a great time. The wood fired hot tub was a lovely addition for us parents to enjoy. Very scenic views and lovely location. Food at the pub on site was also great with polite staff.

Nothing to complain about, we had a lovely time.

The cabin is beautiful and sited in a lovely place. It’s very well appointed with a lovely kitchen and very nicely decorated throughout. The hot tub is superb to use. The site is very clean and tidy. The Tv is also a great bonus for an evening.

The double bed was very uncomfortable, not the mattress but the frame! The side bars stick in your side and are very hard. Please get a nicer bed for the main bedroom. The settee desperately needs replacing. It’s very lumpy and uncomfortable to sit on. The base springs have collapsed in several places. I choose this lodge because it was said to be disabled friendly. The interior of the lodge is very good to move around in except for the bathroom/shower room. The shower is not disabled friendly also two steps to get into the cabin make it very difficult for disabled people with motobility problems. This is also an issue getting to the hot tub as it’s impossible to get there with a wheelchair. (I know because I tried and broke my wheelchair) The final problem is around the door to the bathroom next to the shower - it was filthy and really needs the silicon re doing around the floor/ shower tray. It’s minor things to make the lodge full 5 stars. I think the bed and settee are simply tired. Also maybe a mention in the listing that wheelchair users or disabled people with mobility issues may struggle with the compactness of the shower room.

Loved the setting. Beautiful and peaceful location. All aspects of our stay were wonderful. The main bed is a true double bed and probably isn't suitable for tall or wide people as it has bed hed and bed end 😀

A comfortable stay in this great location just outside of Helston. The check in of keys left in the lock box was a bonus for us as we could arrive as we pleased. It was also great to be able to park right next to the lodge.

There was little to fault but the kitchen worktops hadn’t been cleaned from the last visit, with sticky ring marks on breakfast bar area. We soon cleaned that though as there was good cleaning products under the sink
