What a magical place to stay the people who live and work here. The animals .. we could have packed a few to take home they are so cute !! Everything you need is supplied you just have to bring food. So close to town if you don’t want to cook. Just amazing

Loved it all

Beautiful location and property and wonderfully equipped house. We had everything we needed and more.

We ran out of hot water most days when showering. Luckily it was very hot, so didn't bother us too much.

What a lovely location overlooking the mountains. Nice to see the alpacas as well. The cherry on the top for us was that the 2 little resident dogs, Timmie and Blikkies, decided to spend time with us. The unit was very spacious and well equipped. We'll definitely visit again, it was a haven of peace. Montagu is a great little town. We did some touring of other places and wished we'd had more time for some hiking. Another highlight was the wine tasting on a steam train out of Robertson on the Saturday.

What a great time we had at Alpaca Inn! Our kids loved the animals, especially the dogs. They missed our own dogs, but Blacky and Timmy made them feel at home. Sheba is truly a doll, who wants to help with anything. When we are planning another trip to Montagu, we’ll definitely going to stay again at Alpaca Inn!

We liked the location and the spacious living and outside area

The access arrangements simply didn’t work. We were given two numbers to call prior to arrival which we called ten minutes before getting to the gate neither of which responded. At the gate there were another two numbers on the gate and again no response. It was very hot and extremely frustrating trying to raise someone to open the gate. We also did not realise that the third bedroom was in an adjacent building which was not ideal but not to inconvenient however that room is next to the washing area and on our first morning the machines stated just after 5am accompanied by the radio playing and loud talking……….not right at all. We did raise this later but on the second morning the radio and talking loudly was once again evident. The two persons sharing that room are overseas guests and sadly it spoiled the experience for them
