very good location, quirky & very comfortable

there wasn’t anything we didn’t like!

Eleanor was quick to respond when we couldn't find the lock box, which was tricky to locate, but only around the corner from the unit! The location is superb – walking distance to both the train station and to the town centre, with many amenities very close by. A very cute apartment, immaculately clean, with a lot of natural light in the daytime and a very comfortable living room with a massive telly (brilliant for World Cup viewing). The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, and was stocked with coffee, tea, milk and some lovely biscuits, when we arrived. I really appreciated the washing machine, too, with detergent supplied – so handy!

The narrow side of the kitchen was a bit tight when some of the cabinetry was open, but not too bad. The stairs down from the bedroom are a bit steep, which makes for a tricky journey to the loo at night – but there is good lighting and a bannister to steady oneself. My only real issue – and I can't really pinpoint the cause – is that I was having some kind of allergic reaction during my stay (which was in November). Eleanor assured me there were no pets allowed (cats are my only known allergen) and there wasn't a speck of dust in the place! Maybe a dead animal nearby? Regardless, such a lovely convenient, well-laid out and affordable property, I would risk my itchy eyes and stay again!

in many ways the place was good. However, I do not remember being advised that to access the bathroom from the upstairs bedroom - required a journey by a narrow and low height stairway through the living room through the kitchen and then eventually to the bathroom at the back of the house. this spoilt the stay in many ways. Guests should know of this

Everything you could need in the apartment. Comfortable bed and perfect location. We stayed in the upstairs a few months ago and both are excellent.
