We stayed for one night and in the morning we were leaving for the airport. He messaged us offering us a transfer for 55€ cash and we accepted. The transfer turned out to be himself with his own car, but we got on as we trusted he would take us to the airport as he had said. The drive from the house to the airport is about an hour. When we had already been in the car for about 45 minutes, we didnt understand why google maps said 45 minutes still to the airport (this we had to check ourselves on our phones since he was not using any navigation app). We asked about this and he said it would only be 15 more minutes to the airport. Another half hour went by and we were still near the sea and almost 50 minutes away from the airport. We confronted him and the conversation got very awkward, with him telling us we were just 10 minutes away despite what we were clearly seeing on google maps. After losing all trust on what he was saying and afraid we wouldn’t get on time to our flight, we told him to stop and we got down of the car. It was a very uncomfortable situation since we were three girls in a foreign country and we had to stop in the middle of nowhere since we came to the conclusion that we weren’t getting any nearer to the airport and he was not reassuring us in any way. We told him to leave and he later on wrote to us alleging the “delay” and stress was caused by “navigation issues” and traffic, none of which were true.
