Eva Recommends Marchena

The location is very convenient for walking around Casco Antiguo. Certainly a very aesthetic area. Host was prompt in providing recommendations and enthusiastic about experiences in the area, though sometimes vague in providing concrete details that could help ease travel planning ahead of time. Responses were quite quick. The space was clean and well arranged, accurate from the pictures provided.

The flat is located next to a bar, which makes the street outside quite noisy until 3 or 4 am. With lots of construction in the neighborhood nearby starting in the morning, this made for much poorer sleep than we hoped and set back some travel plans. We certainly expected some noise, with such a convenient location in the heart of Old Town, but the amount there was made for a bit of an unpleasant surprise. The kitchen is well stocked with plates and bowls, but there’s just a small hot plate—adequate for warming food but would make cooking a meal for a longer stay more challenging. It was difficult to tell what the kitchen set up would be from the posting pictures. The curtains on the bathroom door windows seemed rather thin from the inside looking out, fine for a couple but could be awkward for a family. The spare set of keys was worn out and very finicky to unlock the cast iron gate with, could be done but had to back out the key slightly.

They have to show up in person. Really bad 👎

The location is really close to the city center, you can get anywhere really easily. Furthermore, the helpful tips you receive from the owner are very useful, and they are eager to help you.

There were no dissappoitments, it was all as I expected or sometimes better.

Super easy arrival process with information being shared in good time ahead of the trip. Wonderful location in the heart of the city.

Few minutes walk from the Sevilla cathedral and the Alcazar Palace, shopping area and one Avenida de la Constitución.

Couldn’t open or sit on the balcony because of cooking smell coming from tapas next door, especially the smell of bacon as I am a Muslim.

Location was excellent….very central. Eva was very attentive and available. Traditional apartment.

Eva is the most peaceful, helpful and flexible host I’ve ever known. She contacted us everyday to share ideas on what to do in Sevilla as we went in the first week of December holidays. The terrace was incredible, great place to have breakfast together.
