The apartment is in a terrific location, central to everything with a short walk. The ceiling fresco is stunning, as are the beautiful big windows.

The mattress was thin and rock-hard--we both found it very difficult to sleep, as our backs began to hurt after lying on it for an hour (the one upstairs was just as bad). It was so uncomfortable, in fact, we walked across town and purchased a mattress pad and feather pillows to replace the rock-hard rubber pillows provided. This helped a little. The kitchen is tiny; there is neither an oven nor a microwave--apparent in the listing, we know--but there is also virtually no counter space whatsoever. Do not expect to be able to prepare any kind of meal beyond yogurt or toast (you'll have to take the toaster down from the shelf and balance it temporarily on the edge of the china cabinet). The upstairs has a bathtub but the plug is inoperable, and it won't hold water. That means you can't do your laundry by hand in the tub--you must use the small kitchen sink (obviously, there's no washing machine in this apartment either). There is a coin-operated laundermat down the road--plan enough time to babysit your clothing during the processes. What we wound up doing instead was washing the clothes in the kitchen sink, then hanging them on a bungee cord we'd brought from home and stretched across the terrace. This was fine on days when it didn't rain! The terrace...it is lovely, and we would have liked to have enjoyed it more, but what is not mentioned in the description is that the building *across* the alley, directly facing the terrace, is undergoing major renovations: noisy construction begins in the morning and lasts all day, all week, M-F, with the workers staring right at you. Also, there is only one outdoor chair--fine for a solo coffee, perhaps, but a second chair would have been nice on the few non-construction days. The hosts were kind enough to respond to our request for an ironing board (there was an iron in the kitchen, just no board).

The location was fantastic. It was very close to the main tourist attractions in Palermo. The apartment was beautiful. It was modern and well equipped under a beautiful fresco ceiling.

In fase di prenotazione attenzione alla descrizione dell'appartamento. Sarebbe bene avere il nome dell'appartamento nella prenotazione con le sole foto relative perché le foto sono tantissime e non si riferiscono al solo appartamento proposto. L"host dice di non sapere cosa propone booking ma dice di nom avere più disponibile quella prenotata e la cambia e questo non va bene. Alla fine ci hanno proposto una buona soluzione ma non una soluzione eccezionale come riportata nella descrizione. Ci vuole chiarezza.

Good location. Located right on the main street. Nice fresco on the ceiling. The living room is very spacious.

The kitchen is a bit simple. The bathroom is located in one of the bedroom so it can cause some privacy issues.

Perfect location for exploring Palermo, tucked away in a quiet street just off Vittorio Emanuele Street. Extremely comfortable apartment, great big bed, large rooms. Very helpful owner giving extra information on places to eat. The best patisserie is just 5 min away (Pasticceria Costa), perfect for breakfast or afternoon cake.

Shower wasn't great but that comes with these old buildings.
