Alanga apartament

Alanga did not disappoint us. Contrary to some of the bad reviews we've read about this hotel, Alanga was actually a fine boutique resort hotel. Building facade may be a little bit outdated but the interior was satisfactory. We were pleased with the service. The woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to thank her when we left yesterday but she was not there. It was the woman at the reception on saturday July 2, 2016 who made our stay pleasant. We booked a suite and a double room. The suite (3rd floor) was nice with 2 airconditioner, one in the living room and another in the bedroom. We requested for a pot to make coffee/tea and our demand was instantly met. The russian-speaking lady brought 5 mugs as well. The other room we booked on the same floor had also a small balcony but no aircon. So we immediately went downstairs to ask why there was no aircon and we were immediately transfered to another room on the 4th floor which had an a/c but no balcony Rooms have a small refrigerator. The bed was actually 2 single beds joined together, good size and comfortable, not too soft and not hard. Sofa bed for the kids was good, room size perfect, bathroom a bit outdated, furnishings were new, lots of storage space and closet with hangers. Liquid soap at the bathrooms smelled fantastic. It's different from the liquid handsoap at the sink/wash area. Tip: bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The woman at the reception booked also for us massage at the hotel Spa. My mother in law was very pleased with the massage. We also used other facilities of the hotel like the turkish bath, sauna and pool. I think the pool is meant to be used after sauna/steam turkish bath. Water was cold which how it should be to refresh the skin and body after a warm sauna/steam bath. In my opinion, the pool is not for children. But kids can use it if they like but must be together with a competent adult. It's a pool and a jacuzzi at the same time. Press the button and water on the far edge starts bubbling. Fantastic. Upon entry to the pool/sauna area, you will notice a strong smell of chlorine or whatever is that substance used for water treatment. Another tip: bring your towel from the bedroom since there are no towels available in the pool/sauna area. Included in the stay is breakfast. They have pancakes, eggs, sausages, cheeses, cold cuts, veggies, breads, cakes, cereals and much more. The restaurant served food other than what you normally see in Lithuania. It was a fresh breath of air for me. Unexpectedly good and tasty food at the restaurant. The restaurant just needs a major make-over in design. The waitress was friendly, although she needs to be more attentive, but she comes when we call her and she served us well. The woman at the bar was superb. I like her. She could speak some english therefore communication wasn't a problem.

This Hotel we book on our trip to Lithuania last year with family. We traveled to Delfinarium and stayed in Palanga for 1 night in this hotel. I would say that it's the best economy class hotels around it's relatively new, easy to find and rooms are very clean and fresh. The breakfast is plenty. (Charged extra). However they also have swimming pool and SAUNA in the hotel which is available (not for free) but relatively cheap. Sauna and pool are to be pre-booked at the reception. The staff is very nice and pleasant. Very close to the main street which comes to the beach. Location is great. Price is relatively cheap. Although this is not luxury star hotel - I would suppose it's 3 star is appropriate. There were NOT any negative experiences and I do recomment this hotel to everyone who stay in Palanga, especially with families.

Good service in reception. Really good massage in the spa section. We took lunch in the restaurant. Not nice: impatience waiter. The soup was god tasty but the main beetroot salat look like it has been staying outside for days. The dessert was special. See picture!! In general a bit worn out hotel. If you stay there eat somewhere else. Good options in the neighborhood.

Nice room and friendly staff. Been there for a weekend with three meals a day and all were nice, just one meal was average/good. Wifi in the room, one hour with bicycles and time in the pool/sauna space, all was nice. Just maybe the times should be different - breakfast 8-11; pool, sauna - 9-11, it was a bit complicated to manage the time.

We did not stay at the hotel, but visited it's pool & sauna as well as the restaurant. We were overwhelmed by incompetence of the staff - the day before we called to make a reservation and were assured that it is confirmed. When we arrived, receptionist said that there is no reservation, called the other receptionist, who explained something. Luckily, the pool was free, but before going in we had to wait 20 minutes. While waiting we decided to go into the restaurant to make a reservation for big table when we are done with sauna. Waitress said that table is no problem, but since we are a large group (6 kids & 6 adults) we have to order in advance. OK, we did and reconfirmed that we will eat afterwards. And what do you think, after half an hour the pool doors are open and meals for kids are brought in... We argued, but agreed to take them as kids were already hungry. And also cancelled the rest of the order and afterwards ended up going to another restaurant. Such a disappointment... The pool itself is small, but perfect for kids and the Turkish sauna is nice and clean. There also is a table and chairs, so you can sit and relax

Good location, very close to the main attraction street, very quick check in. Staff very nice! !! . Very clean. We had a room on the back, which was very quiet at night Little bit overpriced, very strange that you have to pay extra to use the sauna.

Attractive hotel with a large room B&B for about £32. Palanga is a very attractive place a popular seaside resort - with a long pedestrian area from the Baltic Sea to the main road. This is lined with all manner of eating places, shops and attractions. There is a beach and a long pier stretching into the sea.
