Genteel Home Castilla Terrace

The appartment was great and in a nice area (Triana) the appartment had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and was very clean, it had 3 terraces all for this appartment with wonderful views of the river, Triana bridge and cathedral, with the main tourist attractions within walking distance. There was restaurants/ and tapas bars all very close and a wonderful indoor market only a few steps away from the apartment with fresh food and cafe/bars inside.

Sometimes there was a smell on the top terrace in the morning I think from the drainage system but it’s just one of those things you cannot do much about when in certain areas abroad. It would not stop me from staying again at this property.

The property appeared clean at first look however the bathroom was not spotless (hair in shower, marks on floor). Bedding was clean except one of the pillowcases had brown marks on it. Also spare pillow in the wardrobe was dirty and a bit mouldy. Obviously the kitchen and bathroom are old but functional but would really upgrade the apartment if they were replaced.

Perfect location - on the river’s edge overlooking the city from the Triana neighbourhood. The apartment is situated on a quiet street dotted with traditional cafes; meters from the Triana market and bridge. The apartment itself is beautiful and well equipped with all the amenities you’d ever need, but the terrace is the star of the show; it’s a phenomenal space to relax to take in the sounds and sites of the river and city beyond. The building has an internal lift for ease of access, and the instructions to enter and leave the building/flat are simple and clear. Our hosts were magnificent. They were in constant contact ensuring we arrived and departed safely, and answered any questions we had instantly over WhatsApp.
