Cabaña Colibrí

Una maravilla, las vistas, la atención, todo.

Todo estaba perfecto.

No hay servicio de desayuno, pero igual se puede preparar un buen café y un desayuno al gusto. La ubicación es inmejorable, pero la llegada es un poco problemática por la angostura y lo empinado de los caminos.

Todo bien.

Las vistas y el ambiente, simplemente un lugar hermoso.

Las sabanas y almohadas estaban sucias, nuestra ropa se llenó de chanchitos y lana.

I was totally charmed by the owners, Miguel and Ana, whom I had met at La Jaliscience Mexican Restaurant in La Fortuna. Their warmth, generosity, and kindness were the impetus for me to "come visit" for 3 nights! The bungalow itself is on their home compound finca, so they are very near to assist in any way. The unit is quite pretty, very well constructed and has a user-friendly design. There is a bench on the front "terrace" to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mist covered valley and mountaintops. The absolute WINNER of this location is the spectacular views through the huge, clear picture windows you can enjoy from the luxe comfort of your bed!

I believe the mattress is probably a very high-end, maybe Memory Foam, but it was too soft for me. Admittedly, I am a very firm bed person myself, but I'm sure others will revel in it! Also, the kitchenette would benefit from an induction plate in addition to the provided microwave for more cooking options. There is an electric skillet provided, though. Sadly, despite my best efforts I didn't see a single colibri, but it could be due to the time of year I stayed with Miguel and Ana. I feel certain you will have better luck!

La atención de Miguel fue increíble, el lugar fue muy acogedor y con todas las facilidades. Fue el hospedaje favorito de mi novio en Costa Rica.
