The Loft

We love to stay in St Ives and Loft. It's a great location. Thanks Wendy and her partner for being so thoughtful with all the recommendations. You are right in the hub of Saint Ives so you have to be prepared for a little bit of noise on the weekends, but it didn't bother us. It's a great spot for couples. My children loved the proximity to the beach, but being a loft department, it probably wasn't practical getting everything up and downstairs, trips to the car etc.. I was also mindful that I didn't want to upset the neighbours as my two daughters are fairly excitable and heavy footed. That said we had a lovely time. I'd say it's more suited to couples than a family with young children, but that's just my opinion, so don't be put off by that.

Drainage issue with the shower, but only a small issue i was able to rectify.

Beautiful property with fantastic views.

Lovely flat, very comfortable and great location with proximity to the beach, high street and a few minutes walk from the train station. Well equipped kitchen, great shower and comfy bed.

Flat was quite drafty which made it cold but there were good radiators so it could be quickly warmed up. I was given the wrong code for the lockbox and the hosts didn't respond to my attempts to message/call until the following day. As a woman travelling alone this was not ideal but thankfully I was still able to get into the property with the help of someone at the shop where the lockbox was located who happened to have a spare set of keys.

In cold weather the place is a bit fiddly to heat with no central heating. Parking to drop things off could be quite tricky if traffic is heavy. No places to dry wet weather gear in the winter.

Our visit was disrupted by weather, and hosts were very sympathetic, and easily contactable. D

Perfect location in the centre of St Ives with gorgeous sea views from the dining table where with binoculars we spotted dolphins. They hung around in the bay for an hour or so giving us time to wander down and see them closer. Being on the 2nd floor there was no noise from the street although it is a quiet town. Property had everything we required for our break. Comfy bed, lovely hot shower, well kitted out and plenty of room. Can't wait to stay again. Thanks

The location was perfect - right in the heart of everything that is wonderful about St Ives the beaches, restaurants, shops and art.

Great location. Clean & spacious apartment. Bathroom was gorgeous.

The communal staircase to get to the flat could do with a make over, however the flat itself was gorgeous.
