Luigi's apartment

Luigi was a lovely and super informative host. He has lived in Rotarua for a long time and knows every nook and cranny. Luigi's clothesline is a work of art! His home is beautiful and you feel so welcome to be there😊

This place was absolutely perfect for me and my dog — a cozy, homely retreat nestled amongst beautiful native trees and classic NZ flora and fauna :sweet calls of tui by day and the gentle hoots of moreporks by night. The views of the lake are just beautiful — visible from the garden, the porch, the couch, and even while lying in bed! It was such a treat to wake up to that view each morning. The home had everything I needed for a calm, relaxing stay, with thoughtful touches, such as the honey from Luigi's own bees. Luigi was an incredibly warm and gracious host — not just to me, but also to my dog, which made the experience feel even more like home. His hospitality really stood out and made all the difference. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway surrounded by nature and comfort, this is the perfect spot. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and I am planning coming back.

A reading lamp in the bedroom would make it absolutely perfect :)

Such a positive to be able to bring our small dogs. The price reflected this I think, as the accommodation was small, but clean and comfortable. Wifi was good, there is no TV. Luigi was very friendly and occupied the attached house. A nice lawn and garden. Close to Redwood forest (night walk was amazing) and Scion dog park which our dogs loved, 7mins drive.

No t-towels or dish cloths provided, I didn't realise we needed to bring our own.

Luigi was a great host, and the space was perfect for an mtb stay in rotorua with our dog. The accomodation has nice views and is a very quiet neighbourhood. He met with us to let us in and show us around but we also had the flexibility to use the key lockbox and also allowed us to store a few things until we left town. Thanks Luigi, we will see you again :)
