Loveliest Homes Torquay - 3 bed, 2 bathroom, balcony, parking

Beautiful setting over looking the bay and close to the seafront and town centre. Apartment was lovely and clean and the balcony was an added bonus.

Fantastic view of Torbay and generally very well equipped. Good communication from the owner prior to visit.

The parking is dreadful with a very sharp slope and and awful ridge at the entrance to the property. On entering I went very carefully and slowly over the pavement boundary to the steep slope. The angle was so sharp the under carriage scrapped badly. On leaving the following day the slope caused my wheels to spin and I could only get up it after several failed attempts. The second encounter at the road boundary causes serious damage to my car which will require an expensive repair. Parking on the road was also not suitable due to fall rock warnings and being totally full. I ended up in a public car park a 15 minute walk away down near the sea. NO WARNING was given prior to our visit about the unstable parking arrangements at the property. The electric heater in the lounge failed after two days with what seemed to be a faulty wall connection. We tried but failed to contact the owner using the Booking.com app. There was no shower mat available and the only safe way to shower was to use a hand towel to prevent slipping. All in all too many problems to enjoy our break. The property should warn guests about the difficult parking, steep slope and need to bring a shower mat.

Stunning views, very clean and spacious. Everything you need and had a homely feel to it

Fantastic view over the bay. Walking distance of the waterfront and Abbey Park, either by direct route of 100+ steps (next to the apartment block), or via road/pavement (fairly steep hill). We had our elderly father with us, so parked down on the sea front. Not an issue.

No major complaints. Suggested minor improvements: 1) hooks on the doors of the bathrooms, to hang clothes when removed, or to hang wet towels (not enough room on towel rail). 2) soap dish in the shower in family bathroom. 3) a door which can be closed but still opened from the balcony off the living room. 4) enough chairs for use on the same balcony (2 were broken). We took one from the other balcony as we needed 3 in total.

Location, sea view, size, washing and drying facilities, owners very helpful.

Getting into the parking space was challenging and could be difficult for some cars/drivers. We had to empty the entire vehicle to stop it grounding out on entering the property. Once accessed down the steep slope the parking space was good.

Very comfortable and in a good location.
