City Escape Taroona

Great location for us visiting family in the area. Bedroom was comfortable with a fruit basket and bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. Bathroom did the job and had an exhaust fan - rare in many properties. Separate kitchen/laundry area spacious with the provided continental breakfast thoughfully prepared each day. Hosts were great - friendly, accommodating and genuine while being non-instrusive.

Peter was very helpful in giving us advices about places to visit and restaurants to dine in. He was so thoughtful that he even advised about parking in city center for the Salamanca market. The room is stylish and the neighborhood is peaceful, walking to the beach is like 3 mins, and we saw a possum at dark, just near the beach. She was so cute! Only thing I regretted was not staying longer…

Wonderful hosts and location.

Lovely spot in a quieter part of Hobart, and close to Taroona Beach (we captured some Aurora images here). You will need a car unless you want to use the bus to the city. The room was lovely and comfortable and ensuite very clean. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillow, and the doona very warm. Peter, the owner, was very accommodating too. :)

Be aware that the kitchenette and laundry is next door. You will need to go outside to get to it. We were okay as it wasn't cold weather, but maybe in the middle of winter you mightn't want to head to the kitchen at night to make yourself a late cuppa.

It was clean and had all we needed

Had a great stay here, was the perfect location to relax for a couple of days. Peter was a great host, and the room service dinner we ordered from him was top notch! The bed was the comfiest we had during our 3 months of travelling.

Nothing in particular. Would just recommend a car just for getting to shops etc when staying in Taroona.

Excellent location. Very quiet area. Attractions both near and further away to suit everyone. Peter and Angela were lovely hosts. Meeting me off the bus and willing to help with anything. I had a lovely few days walking on the many bush tracks nearby and the beach is also just down the road.
