The lack of bedsheet to shield off the blankets. The kitchen is through another entrance, so would take some time to dress up and go through the wind or cold.

Peter was a gracious host. the room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast provided was excellent.

We didn’t realize the room was under the main house, and felt a little awkward staying in someone else’s space. Just a personal preference, but we would prefer something a little more private.

The hosts were lovely and friendly and super helpful. The room was really clean and the host provided delicious breakfast, including home made bread!

Peter was great to communicate with, had loads of ideas and suggestions for the local area. There were lots of extras in the room from the Tv, to toiletries and even slippers. The towels and bedding were nice quality too.

The kitchen area you had to leave room to get into which made, getting my morning coffee little annoying. also could only use one appliance at time which meant making tea, coffee and eggs on toast was tricky with timings. Also although it was infrequent and quiet you could hear when they were walking above you or in the room above which meant we felt very aware that limited privacy to a degree, even tho we only ever saw Peter out side the front never by the areas we had after he checked us in.

This home-away-from-home was exactly what I needed. It was quiet, comfortable and situated in a great location.

The kitchenette is small but sufficient.

Peter's hospitality and his culinary delights. Loved the peacefull surroundings. City Escape is a must & will definitely stay here again when in Hobart.
