Lakeside Lodge

The location is stunning! Peaceful and beautiful, the sound of the river and slight waterfall sound was idyllic. Although the property is small, it had a homely natural feel. lovely seating with a fire pit (thank you for the marshmallows!) We didn’t use the fire pit but this was because we were attending a Halloween party at our friends who live nearby. The natural space around the lodge is big and lovely - great for children to play! The drive up to the lodge is beautiful too and we saw horses which is a massive plus when you have children who love animals! We didn’t meet the parrot at the lodge but we went onto Runwell Farm for breakfast and had a nice treat of dining with the beautiful blue and yellow parrot!

it does have a sofa bed which has been described so a family could stay there but I would say the size of it would only be enough for 2 small children (not teens). We are looking at coming here to stay with our children too but it wouldn’t be enough room however there is a lodge next to it so looking at potentially double booking both the lodges so we could enjoy another stay.

Lovely location, very peaceful. Sitting by the firepit watching the stars was magical. Appreciated the tea, coffee and milk sachets

The hut was very nice and well equipped clean and spacious Loved the horses on the field outside our hut and the lake and the swans lovely picturesque was great would definitely recommend this place was perfect .
