Robyhouse Varenna

Fantastic view from over the Lake.

The back outdoor space needed a tidy up (didn't want to sit out there at all), especially the pathway to the entrance. The shower screen is in serious need of fixing. In general the whole place needs a refresh.

Robyhouse is very central. It is not far from the train station and we walked to the apartment which is located in a pedestrian area. The apartment is well equipped with all you need to make the stay comfortable. Beautiful views from the veranda. I spent a lot of time watching the lake and all the boats and ferries going by.

I walk with a crutch and there are many stairs in Varenna. My mistake, I should have done my homework better. Come fit!

Arrived to a dirty apartment after being told it was available. The host did not make us aware that the cleaners had not come yet and that they would actually be arriving after us. This made for a poor first impression. The shower curtain was also taped up with duct tape and the shower would not drain properly. We told the host about this problem and they were unhelpful in fixing it. Overall the property is not well maintained. Wish the host was more accommodating.

Amazing location and great host.

Location is fantastic, right on the lakefront, close to bars and restaurants, short walk to train station and ferry terminal. Wonderful view from the balcony.

The apartment is really run down, with evidence of severe damp on the walls, paint peeling. The apartment also looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time as it was filthy. Shower was broken (we were advised it was new by the owners). Taped up with plastic and really dangerous for our toddler to use. Nowhere to hang towels, no toilet roll holder. The aircon packed up with 2 days remaining of our trip and we contacted the owners who told us to turn it down! The towels on arrival were damp smelling and musty so we washed these straight away. We entered the lounge area and the skirting boards were hanging off. Real shame, as the location is great but the place needs some TLC and needs work doing before renting out to holidaymakers. Wouldn't recommend especially at the prices being charged.

Proximity to shops and restaurants of Varenna. It was private and quiet and had a beautiful small balcony with an incredible view across the lake. The kitchen was functional with a good size refrigerator and the bedroom was comfortable. The owner even brought in an extra air conditioning unit to help keep the place cool. The owner was also very responsive and helpful over WhatsApp.

The shower door was partially broken and they had a plastic shower curtain taped in place.

Location was excellent. Easy access to everything with incredible view from outside patio.

Inside was a little tired looking. Could use a fresh coat of paint. Instructions on how to use washing machine would have been nice and perhaps where to buy laundry soap.

Excellent location. Fabulous views. Good communication. Close to everything. Easy check in.

The apartment had cobwebs and needed a dust. For the excellent view on the terrace, some seating that's more comfortable than whats currently there would be appreciated I'm sure.
