Beautiful quiet garden... Own private space💜 Easy walk to the beach!

Cathy und Hec waren traumhafte Gastgeber, sie warteten bei Ankunft schon auf uns und waren so zuvorkommend, dass man sich gleich wie zu Hause fühlte. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft ruhig und perfekt gelegen um nahe liegende Strände und Auckland zu besichtigen. Wir können jedem diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Staying with Kathy and Hector felt like visiting family or long time friends :) For my wife and myself the warm welcome they gave us was like an excellent 'gateway' into NZ, as our stay at Whitby Studio was the first on our trip. The studio itself is very well equipped, even with added extras - a big thank you to our hosts especially for the bottle of wine :) The area is quiet and very peaceful. with all necessary amenities nearby. Highly recommended, especially after long flights, as Whitby Studio is an ideal place to relax.

Very friendly hosts who were very willing to do anything we needed to help. Lots of extras provided in the studio, like chocolate, wine etc

It was nice and open. The kitchen had all that was needed. The bed was very comfortable. Outside there was a good sized deck and lawn edged with beautiful mature trees that screened everything. It was 4 mins walk to the lovely beach and shops. The hosts were absolutely lovely, kind and helpful.

It’s a home away from home. It has everything you’ve ever needed. Very handy location close to everything: shops, playgrounds, beaches and Albany for delicious food and shopping malls! Mairangi bay beach is so lovely! Better than most we have been. The hosts are so nice and lovely! Best people! We are so happy with the stay. Hope to come back again one day soon!

We loved our stay! Comfortable, clean, great location, wonderful hosts that made sure we had everything we needed and more.

Lovely hosts Hec and Kate; very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is at the lower level of the house, in the garden with lots of bird life and access to a tidal lagoon with a large resident eel. Very quiet and peaceful with good outdoor facilities; deck, table and chairs, Adirondak chairs for lounging in the sun, Weber gas barbecue etc. Easy walk to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

The only slight negatives were that the accommodation is a bit cramped and wardrobe space for clothes is limited, and access to the street is not the greatest, a bit dangerous reversing onto the street on a blind corner. Fortunately, it's not a busy road.
