Whitby Studio - Mairangi Bay Beach

Very cosy, bright and clean little whare. Kathy was so lovely and accommodating to our needs. Her personal touches made us feel at home.

For us this place became the best place to stay we have ever been at. The studio is equipped with everything you need, for any kind of persons or families. Kath and Hec - the landlords - meet you with warm and care, and they will always be there to help you with any issue.

This was one of the best bnb like places we have ever stayed. The location was perfect and walkable for many necessities, 20 minute drive from the downtown, and the hosts were fabulous. The room was much larger than we expected. It was just me and my husband and it was very spacious. The host surprised us with a welcome gift. The bathroom facilities were perfect. The towels provided were fluffy and comfortable and if we hadn't brought shower items they had plenty of shampoo and soap. We were able to get our laundry done, and the host offered to dry our clothes for us if we were not able to hang dry them. The parking situation was great. The property is down stairs with a separate entry so it was nice to feel like when we came back late that we were not bothering the household. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cutlery, cooking pots, and tea! Wifi and television was provided with the stay - we were able to see some American shows as we wound down for the night.

Neat, clean and cosy

The facilities available, you can actually cook a meal that isn't just scrambled eggs or something like that. The location was good as a nice and quiet area but still close to the beach, restaurants, shops etc. Close to motorway so easy to get to further away places too. The hosts were understanding when we had to change check in time on the day due to a cancelled flight.

The only downside was the distance I had to travel was further to see family as they are in south Auckland than if I stayed elsewhere but all the things I liked about it is what helped me decide it was worth the extra travel time

This is a very comfortable studio in a great location; it is within easy driving distance of Auckland city centre and walking distance to stores, restaurants, the local beach and playground. The studioo had all the amenities we could have asked for, from a great stock of food staples for cooking to beach towels, things to occupy the kids and power sockets! We didn't want for anything. Kathy and Hec were kind and accommodating hosts. They answered all our questions and met all our requirements including a children's cot for our daughter. Really thoughtful, friendly people with good and timely communication to us before and during our stay! We couldn't recommend it enough.
