Lovely 2 bedroom apt in Ballater on the River Dee

Lovely flat on the river had everything you needed.

Nothing.

Lovely apartment. Everything was prepared thoughtfully and very clean. We had comfortable stay and watched some movies as there was great variety to choose from.

Not that important but c ould have a bit more variety of board games.

Good information was provided about location, parking and getting the keys. Parking is underneath the building, so it's dry and out of public view. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with good heating, wifi and kitchen. The main double bed is huge and very comfortable. Ballater is a pleasant large village with an excellent bakery, modern Co-op, petrol station, several cafes and pubs, some open even in the middle of winter. It's only 20 min to Braemar, on a good road. The location is quiet and safe, and there was no noise in the apartment. There's a neat cantilevered coffee table, a kind I haven't seen before.

As it happened, it snowed quite heavily when I was there, and getting my car up the ramp from the parking area was a problem once or twice! The dining chairs fold away to save space, but they're not very comfortable to sit on, and I need to sit at a table to use my computer. But those are small issues and there's nothing you can do about snow in Scotland! A grit bin might help (there was one outside the apartment block but it was empty).

Good location for exploring Deeside. Well equipped apartment.

The flat was cold when we arrived and took a while to warm up.

The accommodation and its location was ideal for our needs.
