ROWe stayed for 2 weeks. I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a cosy and quiet place, the neighbours didn't make any loud sounds to disturb us. Quiet nights were really important for us. It has a kitchen equipped with most of what you need. We could prepare food without a problem. Had a stove and oven and also microwave. A dishwasher would have been lovely, but not a must. The living area is incredible, the view of the Danube is lovely and romantic, perfect for couples, and even for children since it is a large room, plenty of space for your young one to play games. There is a big comfy couch and also a double bed which was also comfy. The apartment is very well positioned. It is very close to every transport imaginable: tram, metro, bus, boat. You can get anywhere easily. Parking is also not a problem since you can easily park in the vicinity and pay via app. If you stay for a longer period, there is a parking garage that you can reach by foot, takes 8 minutes or so where you can buy a monthly or bi-weekly parking pass. There is an elevator leading up to the apartment, which is very convenient. Although there are a dozen or so steps you need to climb to reach the elevator so it's not wheelchair accessible. If you have back problems and cannot carry luggages up the stairs this would be a no go. I rated the place 10 since it has a lot of potential and really feel this place is underrated, easily merits a 9 or even 9.5 Some other reviews complained about the fact that there is no in person meeting of the host. This didn't feel like a problem for us. The keys were easily accessible in a lockbox and the checkout was also very easy. I had a question at some point and dialed the number they provided, and the lady was very nice and gave me all the information I needed. The price/value ratio is very good from my point of view.
It was not as clean as I hoped it would be. The rugs had a funny smell which we got used to. And the overall living area smelled of dust. I won't downrate the apartment for this since this can easily be improved from one day to the next.
PHLocation was excellent. It was one block away from the parliament building, and with an unobstructed view of the Danube river. It wasn't at the very center of town, but everything important was just one or two tram stops away. The apartment itself was very spacious, and had everything we needed in order to take home some food from the markets and prepare it or heat it.
A few downsides... The heating could not be turned on when we were there; it was apparently up to building management to turn heating on, and in September, they didn't feel the need to do so yet. Also, we couldn't leave bags after checkout.
GRBeautiful apartment with a great view of Danube within walkable distance from all the major sights of Budapest. Very satisfied with our stay!
