Wynyard Viaduct Harbour 2BR and Parking Zodiak Stays

Location close to Wynyard quarter.

This place has the most painful booking process (not disclosed at the time of booking) they require ID copies for all persons staying, prior to chcking in which we felt was an invasion of our privacy & what guarantee is there that our IDs will not be misused ? The key # provided to us in their detailed instructions was incorrect. We had to call them up, while parked illegally as there is no parking where the lockbox for the key to be collected from is & there was no answer. A woman then called back & said the key # given to us was incorrect & the key in the lockbox is correct. The room had a very strong fishy smell for all the duration of our stay. We had booked (& paid) for 5 guests (they had IDs for 5 guests) but only 4 towels were provided. They have a pdf manual of instructions !! As I said most painful experience, will not be staying here again or recomending to anyone.

Great location, clean and tidy apartment, very convenient having a car park. Very close to amenities inc supermarket directly across, pool was great, fab area of town. Lots of great cafes, restaurants, Viaduct Harbour etc.

Overall great and would stay in same apartment again- minor drawbacks only e.g. needs a few more mugs, drinking glasses as these must have been broken prev and not replaced. Also had a LOT of emails and requests for extra info from the host company, which felt pretty extreme compared to standard booking process- if logging into a separate portal for providing ID etc is required this should be part of actual booking, not required after paying. Not a "standard" part of booking accom in NZ for sure! But info re apartment was very clear, key pickup easy, overall we had a smooth and easy stay.

the location was great

the access and the key issues. I didn’t get to use the pool or the gym for half of my trip because we couldn’t get in or out. had to get strangers to help us in at night. really frustrating. The property needs a work around for when the key fobs stop working.
