Southbank Modern Luxe Apartment

Spacious apartment. Generous to have some condiments provided in kitchen. Close location for our purposes at BCEC.

Major issue: Master bedroom shower drain was clogged, flooded bathroom. We opened the drain cover, it was filled with gunk. Had to clean it out ourselves and clean up flooded bathroom. Linen was dirty? Face broke out with acne after sleeping. Highly recommend the owner to do a deep clean of the apartment drains, and wash bed linen. Location: it was next to a homeless(?) community hub. At night it was rowdy, smell of drugs in the air from balcony. Was wary and had to walk on opposite side of the street to reach accommodation. Would have picked a different place to stay if I was aware of this.

Unit was very comfortable and clean, we enjoyed the table tennis table

The stove, we struggled every time we wanted to use it, to get it to turn on and regulate the temp. there should be instructions of how to use it for those not used to electric stoves (we have gas at home) also there should be instructions on how to use the TV remote, we had to call reception to get it back on free to air TV. it was unusual for their not be a folder in the room with all the instructions and information about nearest takeaway, bottle shop, supermarket etc and a map of the location, we were flying blind trying to work out where we were. The shower in the main bedroom was also cold, luckily there were 2 other showers where the water temp was fine.

The location was excellent & within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, bars, museum, & Southbank. Lovely Chenzi was very accommodating to our early check-in as well.

Perfectly located to the airport and for walking into town and to Southbank sights. There was plenty of space for five adults and we loved the en-suite to each bedroom. The washing machine and dryer were very handy. There was enough kitchen equipment for simple meals . It was also easy to park our hired car in the property garage. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The tv was not a SMART tv and the remote tv controls did not work. More kitchen cleaning equipment would be useful to help keep it clean eg. Tea towels, bin liners , cleaning cloth and spray.

Getting the key was a trouble. Wrong pin was given to access the lock box.

Location is close to everything. The apartment is very nice and roomy.

There are dodgy people lurking around on the street in front of the property at times.

Very spacious and en-suite in every bedroom. Conveniently located near to bars and restaurants in the West End and city centre.

All good.
