Vigadó Square Panorama Apartment

This was our second time staying at James’s place — we had such a great experience last year that we didn’t even consider looking elsewhere this time. James is incredibly attentive and genuinely warm. When we met him to get the keys, we ended up having a lovely chat, which made us feel immediately at home. There were some small improvements made in the flat since our last stay, which shows how much he cares about the guest experience. The apartment is in a perfect location — very central, with metro and bus stations just a few minutes’ walk away. The area is lively and full of great restaurants, shops, and local character. The terrace is one of our favorite things about this place — in the evenings, you can hear music drifting from the park nearby, which creates such a special atmosphere. We would absolutely love to stay here again on our next trip to Budapest. Thanks again, James — your place really feels like a second home!

Nothing at all – everything was really good.

Location was amazing for us. Younger parties would be better nearer the centre than river side. The host was lovely and very informative.

The beds were exceptionally hard and 2 of us barely slept the entire stay. It is basic and lacks a woman’s touch but was acceptable. The tops of lighting definitely needs dusting especially in shower room.

James is a pleasant and kind host. The house is very comfortable for a couple with child and very clean. Although it is located in a central place it is very quiet as it is on the fifth floor. Public transport is really close to the apartment and you can go everywhere in a few minutes. The most majestic thing was the astonishing view from the balcony.

Excellent host and communication from James and also from Katerina! Very kind and helpful in all ways. Awesome view of Danube, very classy and also classic aesthetic apartment, with all that we need for our stay. In addition, we appreciate a 10% refund from the owner, for an outside technical program with the electricity of the building, for less than 2 hours early in one morning of our stay and to be noted, that the refund was offered by owner James and not asked from us! Exceptional behavior! Clean areas, nice beds to rest, excellent inside temperature, and full bright apartment from the day light. Overall, only positive feelings and feedback! Thank you very much for having us to your city and house!

Locality, helpful welcoming

The location of this apartment is fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Danube from the balcony. James, the owner, is very kind and attentive to his guests; when we mentioned we didn’t like the pillows, he went to IKEA and bought new ones for us.

The mattresses on the beds could use an update at some point, as they are a bit old and may be uncomfortable, however we would be happy to be back to this apartment whenever we are in Budapest.

Perfect location

The apartment was in an excellent position. The host is very helpful

Host was very friendly and informative. Our train was delayed and we were able to get in touch with James and it was no problem for him, he waited for us and gave us a good tour. Property is in an incredible location in the city close to everything. Property is very quirky, a very old building, with an elevator, but it seems mostly unoccupied at night. Might not be comfortable for some people but we liked it. Seems like the place is 'frozen in time' with period furniture of grander times. Unique place, great patio looking over the water and square.

location great, linens could be refreshed but really the price is very fair for what is provided.

The beds were very hard. There were a few things which could do with some attention. - the shower fitment was broken but the main issue was the smell from the drain in the bathroom which was overpowering at times.
