Little Americas Ashbury San Francisco Apartment

Excellent location.

Apartment didn’t match any photos displayed on site. We did not get what we expected. Mezzanine bed was mattress on floor and stairs were steep with no railing. Was not a 2 bedroom apartment as advertised but one large room with transparent glass doors to close off the other ‘bedroom’ and little privacy.

The location is great, the instructions were clear.

The apartment was dirty, the bed sheets had hair and spots on them. The mat was all in spots. Spiderwebs on the walls. The shower cabin had hair on the walls. The bathroom smelled like canalization. I contacted the host and let them know that it seemed like there was no cleaning before our arrival, they told me that everything was definitely cleaned and didn’t offer any solution, not even to change the bedsheets. Later they left a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine by the door. It was a nice gesture, but I’d rather sleep on clean sheets than have such perks.

The location is excellent for accessing the city's main attractions. The air conditioning works well, and the Wi-Fi is reliable.

A nauseatingly strong and unbearable odor emanated from the bathroom due to the plumbing, forcing us to keep the door closed at all times and making it unpleasant to enter. The apartment was not cleaned thoroughly, only superficially. The ventilation grates were extremely dirty, and the floors of the stairs and mezzanine had not been cleaned. The bathroom was not cleaned properly; there were splashes all over the side tiles and dust on everything, including the radiator, shower, and cabinet doors. The mattress was extremely hard, as was the sofa, which was not a sofa bed as we expected. Given that we paid over €700 for four nights, I expected more attention to detail.
