STAY AWAY! This apartment is NOT what it is in the pictures. Myself and my family went to Budapest for a family holiday celebrating a big birthday. We arrived at midnight to a this apartment in a very dirty unsafe apartment building. The doors and windows had bars which also reinforced our opinions. Upon entering the apartment there was an awful dusty, mouldy smell. The walls were filthy and had not been painted in a number of years. The shower tiles and floor had not been properly cleaned in some time. Under the sheet on the mattress of the bed lay a BLOODY, URINE stained mattress. The mirrors and walls were stained with human like fluids. The net curtains were ripped and dirty. The fridge and cooker had years old dirt and grease. The pillows on the bed were stained YELLOW with human fluids also. My son lay down as he was exhausted from travelling all day, after a short while his skin was very itchy. To add to the torture of this apartment, we suspect he has got bit by BEDBUGS! The list goes on how bad this apartment was and how unhelpful the host was. Upon explaining nicely how upset we were and that we could not sleep here she blocked us from contacting her. As a family with younger children we were left stranded at midnight in a city we did not know searching hopelessly for a hotel to take us at such short notice. We were robbed by this host! We received no refund or an apology.

I informed in advance that due to the death of my grandmother we will not be able to come to stay. The host said I will update when I can get to Budapest so I can enjoy the hospitality. Since that date the host does not answer emails or phone calls. I was very disappointed by the failure to fulfill the promise. I would love for the host to get back to me by email

Stayed for two nights. Able to check out as late as we wanted on the day. Clean and tidy. 4 Good sized rooms plus sofa bed. Really good location.

Central Location - within walking distance to most tourist attractions and very convenient for the airport

Everything - the photos are probably taken. 10 years ago, the furniture are now worn, the apartment needs complete restoration, accommodation feels dirty with marked walls and stained grouting on the bathroom tiles, no blackout blinds, windows and balcony doesn’t seem secure, one front room had the gas meter exposed and the other front room didn’t have electric fan on a hot day, one of the lightbulb was flickering but most importantly the WiFi didn’t work during our stay ! The beddings were all crumpled and does not feel fresh or clean.

Straight forward. Clear instruction. The host is very responsive to our questions.

The location of the apartment was excellent. Right next to the Synagogue as the name suggests. The apartment layout was excellent and very spacious. Had no problems with any of the appliances etc. The heating was very powerful, could see that aircon was fitted but did not need to use that. For the last day the owners suggested a luggage locker facility that was just a few doors up and that worked well, just 12 euro for 5 hours allowing us to make the most of the last day. Would recommend the hop on hop off bus, there is a stop at the Synagogue making it an ideal source of transport around the city. You can haggle a little with the ticket sales staff, we got 3 full days for the price of 1 so used it all during our stay.

Really struggle to fault the accommodation. Everything was fine but we were in regular contact with the owner by WhatsApp, so sure if there had been an issue it would have been sorted.
