Superb views, clean and comfortable. Having the pool was also a bonus, very nice location indeed.

Some people if walking into Deshaies (not far in distance) may struggle coming back as it’s up a steep hill. Wasn’t a problem for us as relatively young and fit.

Our host was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It was very peaceful at night. Overall great stay. We would certainly return.

Communication was good prior to arriving and during our stay. We were told where to meet the host (Stephane) to take us to the property, and for the keys. Although our French wasn’t great and the host’s English wasn’t good but with the help of google translate, we managed to understand each other. Stephane was friendly and accommodating and happy to help. The accommodation was clean, and towels and bed linens provided (you can get extra but you do have to ask). Basic kitchen appliances are satisfactory including coffee machine but be aware that there is not an oven. And be prepared to be bitten by the mosquitoes!!! So take the necessary precautions to limit the amount of bites you get. The views from the balcony are breathtaking and the accommodation is spacious enough for 2-3 people. The pool area is lovely and the whole complex is nice and quiet. If you’re looking for a relaxing and chilled getaway with no stress, then this would be somewhere to consider to stay

As a suggestion; maybe the host could advise guests, who are coming from abroad, to bring a beach towel, or provide some basic beach equipment for guests to be able to take along to the beach i.e beach chairs or beach towels/ throws, umbrella to experience the beauty of the beaches, in Basse-Terre (Grand Anse), or Grande-Terre (Sainte-Anne) which can be difficult for guests, like ourselves, to bring. As the kitchenette is on the balcony and it is generally where you chill for the evening, maybe a mosquito screen can be fitted to the patio doors, to keep out the mosquitoes in the evening time, while still being able to keep the patio doors open

Location, functionality of the flat, the view from the balcony and the pool.

The location is wonderful. The view is very pretty. I can recommend this property for a week or less. Longer would require better kitchen facilities.

The interior requires stairs to get from bed to the bathroom. Using stairs in the middle of the night can be quite difficult. A light in the stairwell would help. Currently the light illuminates the sleeping area and wakes up sleepers. The air conditioner is right over the bed and blows on you when operating. One can turn it off easily and keep the windows open as each bed has mosquito netting.

We stayed in the Cocoa apartment- the terrace had a very nice view of the bay and mountain and palm trees. It was a beautiful spot to watch sunsets and we even enjoyed sitting there during rainstorms. The kitchen was small but well-stocked for making breakfasts and lunches outside (the table could use a tablecloth). We were happy to find that the apartment doors and windows closed well and we never had any insects in the house and didn’t even have mosquitos outside either. The building was solidly constructed and decor was minimal but quite functional. We had two adjoining rooms on a second floor and it was nice to use one as a dressing room. The pool was refreshing after a hot walk back up the steep hill from town. Thierry was very responsive to any questions or issues that we had. There are many restaurants right in town and many beaches within easy driving distance.

Very few complaints. We stayed a week and stocked up on all the food items ourselves, but it would have been nice to have a bit more of items such as garbage bags, soap and shampoo, that we would have to buy in sizes larger than we need for a short stay. The outside table has become dirty over time and could really benefit from a tablecloth.
