The apartment was dirty and dusty, the kitchen lacked every day utilities, what was there needed to be washed before use. The bedding was old and the pillows a health hazard.

The location was fantastic and the property had everything we needed for a short stay, including a (very small) parking space.

My Booking.com confirmation had a checkout time of 11am... However, the cleaner arrived at 10.15 and said that she had been told that the checkout time was 10. (She very kindly agreed to come back in 15 minutes so we could finish packing up!)

We loved the furniture (solid, attractive, not Ikea cheap stuff). Beautiful high ceilings, beautiful building. Wonderful heavy velvet curtains.

It'd be good to have a dish rack for drying, and a better set of dishware.

It was clean, warm and comfortable in spite of the big old single glazed windows (a living museum!) The short stroll into town was ideal with easy parking at the apartment. We weren't expecting much from the description 'flat screen TV' and didn't mind that there was no WiFi but in actual fact the TV was a fully functioning 40 inch smart Toshiba. There was (nearly) everything you needed. Flute glasses, small kitchen knives, a glass jug instead of plastic to whisk an omelette maybe would have been ideal and definitely more bath towels please (we took our own luckily) but we're nitpicking now!

One neighbour objected to our parking closer to the apartment in a space that clearly hadn't been occupied for a while (had to move a hub cap). They left a irritated note on the windscreen. But there were plenty of spaces to choose from. Sorry to that neighbour.
