The Loft at Strathardle - Lochside Apartment, Isle of Skye

Lovely place, warm welcome, very quiet, clean, nice view over the loch and sheep and hopping rabbits… the basket with sweets and bread and the basic food in the fridge were a nice surprise

This was an amazing experience with lovely hosts, stunning views and comfortable large loft tastefully decorated with all the facilities we needed. We loved meeting Carys and Bill and they were so helpful with all the questions we had about the island. Location is ideal for rest and for visiting the beautiful Isle of Skye. Thoroughly recommended for holiday!

The Loft is a very nice apartment with great view over the loch. The hosts are most welcoming and very friendly, thinking ahead for the traveller with a good description of the route to the apartment and providing all the information for a stay at Skye. The Loft itself is very well kept and extremely clean. The location of the Loft makes is a good base-camp for all kind of tours around the island.

Really everything was great at The Loft.

The Loft provided us with our own space with a private access door. The kitchen and living areas were well stocked with utensils and games/dvds. Bill and Carys were lovely hosts whom we enjoyed chatting with. The location is exceptional with views over the Loch.

If you're not familiar with single-track roads, this might be a bit tricky to get to. Allow extra time while driving around Skye.

The Loft at Strathardle is set in an idyllic location overlooking Loch Bracadale with mountain views all around in the distance. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness. The Loft was modern and well thought out with such attention to detail. It was well equipped and a perfect place to stay and relax. The location is quite remote and a good contrast from busy Portree. There is a small beach close by and lovely walks with stunning vistas.

The only thing that could have improved our stay was if we had been able drive our car around. Unfortunately, I had broken my wrists a few weeks earlier and as the main driver, we did not have our car with us but our hosts helped us so much in that respect.

The Loft was absolutely fabulous. It was so comfortable, just like home away from home. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves. It was spotlessly clean, and they had supplies there for us, like milk, bread etc. Such a lovely welcoming touch. Just loved it. Bill was so good to us, so friendly and helpful.

Exceptional in every way. Fantastic hosts, large modern accommodation surrounded by sheep and water. We were so glad our original place in Portree cancelled in us and we were offered this place. Even the treats where brilliant. Close to Dumvegan castle and the fabulous head.
