Central location of Auckland Central

We've been there twice, the first time everything went great, the second time, not so much.

We couldn't get inside our room for 2 whole hours, because the locker that included our room card was jammed. To figure that out, we had to try the 2 passwords the staff had given us over and over again on every locker, since we couldn't figure out from the photo we've been sent, which locker included our room card. We kept on messaging the staff for help and their replies where taking too long and weren't very helpful, since we had tried to do all of the things they suggested us. Nobody was there to physically help us and we were waiting at the pavement with our suitcases and all. Finally, after all this time, we got a call from another member of the staff, who eventually came and helped us (but we had to wait even longer for the problem to be fixed and so we couldn't leave the place and go out to eat lunch and do whatever we had scheduled for the day, since we were waiting for our card).

Location in the city was good, however was difficult to find.

Bed was small and pillows were horrendous. Shower still had soap remnants left from previous persons, drain was blocked. Kitchen utensils were ad hoc, lack of plates and no cups or mugs. Overall cleanliness of unit and kitchen equipment needs review.

Reception closed so couldn't try and leave bags there. No hand towel. Leftover food in fridge.

Having a kitchen and the location was really great. Host was responsive when I arrived.

location was great, very easy walk to Arena, viaduct and ferry. nice to have a balcony. very sunny, comfortable bed and good shower.

Would have been nice to have a couple of wine glasses to enjoy our bottle of wine rather than two mismatched tumblers. A face cloth and a hand towel would have been lovely and there were no rubbish bin liners so tricky when you are expected to dispose of the rubbish. We did purchase some plunger coffee only to discover the plunger was broken. Matching coffee cups would have been a little more decadent.
