We absolutely loved our stay here! Phil was so friendly and helpful during our stay - thank you Phil. The place itself is so cosy and welcoming. It is a lot larger than we expected and has everything you could need. It is really nicely finished with great small details throughout. There were supplies to light the fire - which was not the case at other places were had stayed so that was a lovely touch and the fire itself just made the place so much more homely. We were lucky enough to be there on Ted's (the friendly black lab's) birthday. The place is located in a very peaceful area but also within walking distance of a lovely pub/restaurant and is very central for most isle of sky attractions. The hosts and Ted are what really made our stay - we accidentally burnt a tea towel and Phil was more than understanding! Would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely nothing

This place is fantastic as a base for exploring Skye. As a hideaway it has everything you need to organise and look after yourself. It’s also very comfortable. Its position is great too - easily able to make half day or full day trips to explore the top part of the isle. No hesitation to give it a 100% recommendation. It was easily our best accommodation during a 9 day visit to Scotland.

We loved location, the size of the place and the comfort this place provided including the resident friendly dog.

The location of the dunny and water pressure was a bit low but these are first world problems.

The apartment is bigger than the photos make it look, Lots of room to spread out and relaxing with a nice warm fire in the evenings. The kitchen has a selection of pans and utensils to knock up and easy meal. Its very warm an cosy, the bath was also a nice relaxing highlight. The raised bed stays nice and warm all night and its very comfy. The hosts are well organised and give good tips on local places to eat and shop.

The only thing we could be picky about is, the wifi router is opposite the bed and lights flash all night. But we stood a bag in front of it to hide the lights. Otherwise we cant fault the place.

The accommodation had everything we needed for a very comfortable and happy week. The hosts were able to provide detailed local knowlege of places to visit and the best things to see. They also went out of their way to help us with some car problems.

There was absolutly nothing not to like. I very much doubt anyone could find fault with this accommodation.

The only thing I could have used was a hair dryer. But, overall everything was great!

Location

It was very cold when we checked in. Owner did not want us to use the heat. They wanted us to make a fire in the fire stove in the room. We were uncomfortable with this. They did turn on the heat but were unhappy. We asked for tissues and a second roll of paper towels( very thin). They said to buy them in the store. Dishwasher liquid was diluted and dirty. Only two rolls of toilet paper. There was only a service for four of silverware and only two dishwasher packets. The dishwasher was in another room. Checkout was at 9:30am which was very early for us. We asked for a later checkout the night before and were told we did not request it at the right time. We left dirty dishes in the sink because the dishwasher was in another room, we did not have any dishwasher packets left, and we did not have enough time to load the dishwasher. When we got into our car to leave, the man, owner? came over to us and started yelling that we had asked for supplies, wanted to use the heat instead of lighting fires, and left dishes in the sink. This was very unpleasant. Photos, if possible of the wood stove, the dishwasher liquid, then dishwasher liquid and toilet paper from another rental.
