JAYA'S PLACE

The owner was extremely attentive, made sure we were very comfortable and offered advice on things to do. The cottage was beautiful and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The fireplace was an added bonus for the cold evenings.

The location was exceptional the environment was perfect. I liked how the owner kept us up to date with information. Everything thing that we where told that we will find was there and it was well cleaned.

We stayed in the Two Bedroom house( Hakuna Matata) Ian, our host, was most welcoming. He provided us with a map of Hogsback with various hiking paths and points of interest around the village, along with some sturdy locally made walking sticks. Our cottage had kitchen facilities to cook breakfast or other meals on the gas stove/oven or at our private braai area outside. There is a Spar in the centre of the village to buy freshly baked bread/rolls and all other essentials. Basics like salt, sugar, tea and powdered coffee are provided in the cottage pantry. Brilliant sunlight through the large lounge windows. Comfortable, warm beds and hot showers. Thanks Ian, see you soon!

Beautiful piece of paradise.

The most comfortable stay we've had in Hogsback. Ian is a wonderful host, who made us feel very welcome. He took the time to show us around the property, and share his knowledge of the plants and trees that surrounded us, as well as walks and trails we could follow. We were kept company by the friendliest dogs, and spent a few very contented, relaxed days at the cottage. Highly recommended.

Tranquility, the setting, bird life, garden, quietness, fire place inside etc. Will defnitely return in future.

Broken chair in lounge & stable back door falling apart.

The house is very spacious and is set in a beautiful location. The owner is very warm, welcoming and shared a lot of information with us about Hogsback. The essential oils shop on the premises is a must visit. We were especially happy about the house being dog friendly so we could take our dog with.

The kitchen could have had a few more serving bowls and a roasting pan that guests can use for braaing. The en suite shower had a drain blockage. My only regret is that we could not stay longer.

Perfect location, close to the center of town and most walks. Small DSTV package. Lovely hot shower with great water pressure. Electric blankets on all beds. Coffee, tea and sugar available in kitchen and little pots of salt and pepper.

I had hoped for a bigger fire place indoors, but it was a very cold week-end and some cushions for the outdoor furniture :)

Had a lovely location. Excellent fireplace and plenty of wood.

The table in the kitchen was a bit big so found it rather squashed, also could have done with some other type of heating in the house as it was very cold inside.
